I am Allen Grainger

I moved to Pokeno six years ago and settled into the Kowhai Downs area. We were the second house that was built in that Subdivision, which as with other parts of Pokeno has grown immensely
 
I became interested in being involved in the development of Pokeno by attending Community meetings, and getting a feel for the area from those that were involved in the PCC back then
 
I want to see Pokeno grow to be the place in the Waikato to visit, not just for Ice Cream or Bacon
 
I am married to Carolyn, and I have two children and five grandchildren
 
As well as being part of the PCC I grow Roses, fruit and vegetables on my property
Other interests include rugby, of which I am President of Waikato Rugby, Ironman Taupo where I have been a volunteer for nearly twenty years, plus other clubs where I enjoy various activities, plus I enjoy travelling though curtailed by Covid
 
I enjoy making the contribution to Pokeno Community and am looking forward to the future plan
