I have lived in Pokeno for the last 4 years. 
 
I was made redundant at the beginning of the pandemic after being a corporate travel agent for 25 years.  During the pandemic I worked at various Covid Testing Sites in the South Auckland area.   Since then I have looked for options for working/volunteering within the community.  I have been Secretary of the Community Committee for the last 18  months.  I am a JP,  Treasurer of the Pokeno and District Lions Club and I volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau in both Papakura and Pukekohe
 
My interests are gardening, reading, taking my golden retriever to the dog park and, now the borders are open again, travel, in particular, to the USA to visit my daughter and her family there.
 
I hope to make a difference to the growing population of Pokeno by volunteering to make our town a great place in which to live, work and play
